Los Castillo Taxco Silver and Mixed Metals Bird Motiff Spoon
This unusual silver spoon has an aztec bird motiff handle with azurmalachite inlay. I believe it is silver plate, although it is not marked as such. It is quite heavy for a spoon. The bird's head is bronze. The spoon measures 6 and 1/4 inches in length overall. Marked on the back of the handle "Los Castillo Taxco" in a circle as shown in the picture. Very good condition ; no dings, dents, bends or splits. One small spot of light silver wear on the back of the spoon. Light surface scratches consistent with age. $175

Abstract sterling silver Danish modernist brooch. Designed by Eigil Jensen for the A. Michelsen, Denmark, circa 1950’s. This large, solid, feather shaped brooch has a symmetrical curved design and measures 3 inches long and 1 and 3/8 inches wide. It is an outstanding example of Scandinavian mid century design. The brooch is hallmarked "AM" surmounted by a crown for Anton Michelsen, "Sterling Denmark" and the conjoined "EJ" mark of Eigil Jensen. This brooch is in excellent condition. no dings, dents, cracks, or splits. Eigil Jensen trained at the Hans Hansen silversmithy and created some of A. Michelsen's most popular designs in the 1940s and 50s. He also designed for Georg Jensen. $250
